School Visits

Pupils make a record of their walk by creating 'Journey Sticks' which have smells, leaves and pinecones attached to them along the way
Pupils enjoy water walk activities by the river Fal. Can they guess what animal names are on their backs?

The Trust welcomes interest from all school’s and can offer a variety of activities from a visit by our educational officer; we can look at some of the beasties found in your school pond or local river under the video microscope, to riverside sessions where we can investigate the local environment using games and activities.

All educational activities run by the Trust can be designed to tie in with national Schemes of Work, especially within side sessions (KS1 and 2: units 2B, 4B, 5B and 6B) and Geography (KS1 and 2: units 6, 8, 11 and 14), as well as with non-statutory PSHE guidelines.

Day visits can be adapted to suit different year groups where appropriate. The programme is relevant to wider environmental studies or can be used to spark imagination and creativity for subjects such as Art, English and even Maths.
